ParticipantJust ordered another 2,000 FMJ Rn. I have been shooting these for a long time with great satisfaction.
My recipe is RMR 115gn FMJ Rn with a CCI 500 primer and 6.4 gn of HS-6 with an OAL of 1.100”. This is kind of on the low end of published data but it cycles all my 9mm guns flawlessly. Out of my czP10c the chronograph shows right around 1200 FPS.
Shoots very accurately, low recoil impulse, low flash, not much smoke. And the Dillon 650 makes them almost as fast as I can shoot them.December 9, 2021 at 11:00 am #394545plarkin
ParticipantDo you find the HS-6 to be a little dirty? I used the EXACT same recipe as you for a while. 6.4gn HS-6 but was finding a lot of unburnt powder on the bench out of a 4″ Walther PDP.
Those RMR 115gn FMJ RNs are a treat though. VERY consistent groups with that 6.4gn load.

ParticipantI’ve shot thousands of 9mm FMJ RN through multiple guns. I do a lot of competitive USPSA.
For my PCC load, I use 4.4gr of Sport Pistol under a 115 @1.125”. This gets me right around 140PF which id about 1200fps out of a 16” barrel
I also use these for shooting Open division. I used 10.4gr of Shooters World Major Pistol under a 115fmj rn @ 1.180” and a small rifle primer. This gets me about 1500fps out of a 5” barrel with 2 3/16” ports. I do NOT recommend this recipe for the average shooter/gun unless you know what you’re doing…
Another powder I use is HS6. 8.8gr at 1.180” again. Makes major power factor no problem!
