ParticipantHere are some loads to try. These all use 125 gr bullets.
6.5gr POWER PISTOL CCI 500prim —–1233fps SD12
7.0gr POWER PISTOL CCI 500prim ——1308fps SD229.5gr Accurate #7 CCI 500prim ———-1379fps SD25
10gr Accurate #7 CCI 500prime ———-1422fps SD5
Hollow points COL 1.200in FMC round nose 1.250in.
The gun used was a Colt 1911 competition custom gov mod.
Winchester primers will yield approx. 25 to 30fps lower velocity.
Chronograph used is a Oehler 350P.

ParticipantPS I used Winchester brass mostly and some Rem brass. I did not find any real deference.

All I have is the 115 gr round nose, from here, tried loading some and they keep hanging up at the ramp…
Used Lee and Hornady load books…
Pistol is a RIA new…
I have been loading for over 40+ years and never had that problem, just don’t understand it…..

I have many,, many different powers and primers that is not the problem..
