ParticipantMy minor load has a power factor of 127 using R-P cases, CCI 500 primers, Lee .61 by volume of Promo (Approximately 4.2 grains) and OAL of 1.140. The tested gun is a Glock 17 Gen 5 and it was tested at 90F and 1,500 ft. This load is very accurate.
Lee .57 by vol. Promo is a good load for my Glock 43 to keep recoil down but occasionally jams my carbines. Lee .66 by vol. Promo is a safe but close to maximum load for all of my guns. I use the .66 by volume load to ensure that I make minor power factor on cold days but I have not yet had it tested at a match.
Note that variations in the lot to lot density of Promo have been reported and your results may differ, especially with volume measurement and the maximum load. Don’t be in a hurry, work up your loads!
