I have been working up loads since summer using many 62 and 69gr bullets and a variety of powders. In the I keep coming back to the RMR 69gr to the point that I will be using it to shoot in a local winter rifle league. Also I will be the only one competing with a 223.

I have worked up loads with this bullet using the load data for the Sierra 69gr bullet and have worked up from Start load data to Max load data with both Ramshot TAC and Hodgdon Benchmark with the edge going to Benchmark. Found my best loads with TAC @ 23.7GR AND 24.3 using Norma brass, Remington 7 1/2 primers and a length of 2.260″

The Benchmark powder I and still working to verify, but I have a good load with this also at 23.7gr.

Tomorrow we start the winter league at our range and I have settled on a load using the 69gr MRM HPBT over 23.3gr of Benchmark over CCI 450 primers with Norma Brass seated to 2.255″. After testing all summer this is the load that has been the most consistent and most accurate from my 22″ Savage Model 10.. Target ranges will be from 100, 200 and 300yds. over a course of 10 weeks.

Currently have 100pcs loaded that will take me through week 5. Will then batch load another 100 to finish out the season.

I’m using the same bullet 69gr BTHP.. out of a Winchester HV 26” barrel .. I’ve tried IMR4064,Benchmark, CFE 223. .. I’ve got .25 inch groups at 100yds using Varget( 24.7grs) Lake city brass …

I used up a whole pound of Varget with this bullet and 2 different 62gr bullets and never did find a load that would shoot as well or consistent as the Benchmark.
My biggest problem is I am down to my last pound of Benchmark but I do have enough loads to get me through the first 5 weeks. Next I have 2 pounds of 2460 that I am going to have to try just so I know if it is close or will I have to go back to TAC. Last resort I have some BL-C2 that has shown promise.
