This is a correction from an earlier post. These bullets are not the Nukes. I tried to find a link to this bullet
and it seems to be discontinued (for good reason IMHO)

From the beginning at an OAL of even 1.125″ I was having feed issues.
I was also having some failure to extract issues that I have not had at all with ball ammo.

My Lee reloading manual lists 1.050″ as the minimum OAL for pure lead 124g 9mm with silhouette power.
So I made up some at 1.050″.
My first few cartridges cycled at this very short OAL
    I was getting excited!

Then I got a loaded cartridge that locked the slide without the firing
pin being cocked. (that took me 5 minutes to clear and would have gotten me killed)
After that I got another failure to feed!

The bottom line is that I have 6k rounds of this pill. Have tried to use the shortest OAL that I can
and they still do not cycle in my Glock 26! I wish to god that there was a disclaimer with this bullet
as I don’t know what the hell to do with them now. Very frustrated would be a huge understatement.

Does anyone have any ideas? Would going longer perhaps solve the issue?
Can you get failure to feed with too short of an OAL?

    Thanks in advance.

For some reason I can not edit the above post!
This is going to make things messy….
I just wanted to add that I am using 5gn of silhouette.

I also wanted to add a photo of the failure to feed at an OAL of 1.050″ but it doesn’t look like I can do that either.
    At least not easily:

Failure to feed at OAL of 1.050″

This really sucks. I am at a dead end with this bullet.

Again not allowed to edit the above post making things messy IMHO……

I went to an OAL of 1.070″ and got a failure to extract on the first round:

As expected none of the 1.070″ cartridges feed.
It looks to me that it is impossible to use this bullet to make ammo for a 9mm Glock!
Would have been really helpful to have ha a heads up before I got stuck with 6 thousand of them.
Help if you have any ideas, I am out of them.

    UPDATE:
Jacob Wilcox called and solved the problem.
I did not realize how little I knew……
    He suggested a few causes:
    Limp wristing the gun.
    A stiff slide spring
    A funky magazine
    Too light of a load.

He made me aware of the Ramshot load data at:

    Load Data

I set the OAL to the same as a working hollow point . i.e. the Winchester Ranger cartridge.
    with an OAL of 1.120″

I upped the load to 5.5 gn of silhouette. ( I think about 6gn is max and a +P load).
Anyhow I was elated to cycle 10 rounds through the G26 with zero issues!!!
    Thanks Jacob

    124HP RMR, COL 1.060, Springfield Hellcat 3.1″ Barrel. 6.0 grains Ramshot Silouette 1151fps ES27 SD11. 5.9 grains Ramshot Silouette 1139fps ES19 SD7.

    124HP RMR, COL 1.060, Upgraded Smith Wesson SD9VE 4.0″ Barrel. 5.9 grains Ramshot Silhouette 1187fps ES22 SD8

    124HP RMR, COL 1.060, Canik 4.5″ barrel,
    5.9 grains Ramshot Silhouette 1215fps
    5.7 grains Ramshot Silhouette 1168fps
    5.6 grains Ramshot Silhouette 1161fps

Silhouette is not my go to powder. It was all I could get when the Plandemic came around, I prefer HP38/WIN231 the most, CFE Pistol was super awesome with 124HP RMR, Ramshot Zip worked great with RMR 124HP, Accurate #7 worked flawlessly with the 124HP RMR’s too, but you have to use quite a bit of it according to published books, and in my own experience.

I am glad you got everything fixed and working. I thought I would share a bit, I hope it may help out in the future.
