ParticipantI fixed the light striker problem I was having by cleaning the gun. 🙂
Testing my fix out today after firing a mag or two, I did not get any more light strikes.
On the 3rd mag after firing a round, the trigger did not reset, and upon inspection a live
round was in the gun and the slide was locked.By rocking the slide back and forth (1/2 inch at most) the trigger finally reset
(the slide was still locked and I could not eject the round)
so I fired the round, and the case did not eject, but when the slide was now free
and cycled and the case finally ejected.Any ideas of what could be the cause?
I have a memory of this happening a few months ago.
I think both times with at load of 6.0 gn of silhouette, an OAL of 1.120″
and a 124gn HP that I got at RMR. (This as I recall is a hot load and I did not
want to go any hotter. I test fired 100 rounds and did not have any issues, I then loaded
all of my stock, so this is a load I am stuck with.I have not had this happen with my ball ammo loads — yet. So it seems to be load specific.
More than the frustration, the safety issue scares me and I am not carrying the G26 until I can get this
resolved. Going to carry the G17, for now and also go out tomorrow and find out if this ammo likes the G17Thanks in advance

KeymasterSorry that it’s been over a year since you posted this. Did you get it resolved. Your issue sounds like an internal mechanical problem and not ammo related. Is it a stock trigger, or has it been modified in any way?

ParticipantI think that the issue was not enough powder in the load to insure that the slide would cycle.

ParticipantReplace your striker spring. I had the same issue in my G23, Gen3, and put in a new spring which solved the issue.
