Well, if only it were as simple as just thinking about it. I really wish it was something that was easy to do but the machinery required to do it isn’t cheap, small, or fast. Basically, if you have the money and the machinery to make that bullet you wouldn’t waste it on making a cheap bullet. You would be forced to make a higher BC bullet that you can sell for more money. It sucks, but you’re looking at like $600k -$1million to do it right and I can buy several pistol machines for that kind of money.

We are working on a machine conversion to do a 135. It may be possible to do a 147 but we aren’t sure we can draw the jacket long enough in that machine.

Yeah, this is often caused by a bulged casing near the rim. It happens when someone shoots a hot load through an unsupported chamber. Usually you can fix it by making sure your sizing die has a little cam over but sometimes that isn’t enough. A bulge buster will fix it but it adds another step.

The original and the nuke are nearly identical. Most of the changes were on the inside. You can use the same data for either one.

My barrel is 1 -8″ Xcalibur. I think my OAL is 2.245. Not sure on the primer. It’s lake city pull down cases.

Primes will go back down to reasonable prices again. The biggest reason for high prices is the very short supply. I have a lot of friends in the industry and the biggest issue is they cannot get enough brass to make as many as they usually do. Couple that with an increased demand and you get stupid high prices. There will be tons of primers in stock everywhere as soon as brass is more available. Theres a ton of new companies starting to make them so supply is eventually going to outpace demand.

Our favorite load here at RMR is 24.6 grains of TAC. From my 28″ barrel I get about 1/2″ groups and 3150 fps. Obviously you won’t get that velocity from a shorter barrel but we use the same load in our 16″-18″ barrels with really good accuracy.
