Description
These were pulled from US Military M118LR sniper rounds. Several of them have what looks to be scraping of the copper from when the bullets were seated. It looks as though the chamfer of the casing may have been a little sharp and scraped up some copper upon seating. This leaves a little ring around some of them that exceeds the .308 diameter. While many of the bullets are perfect and ready to load, those that have these rings may benefit from being sent through a sizing die. It’s also possible that upon seating in your ammo the excess copper could be shaved off by the case mouth. They have been tumbled in corn cob media to remove the tar sealant. This may result in the tip having corn cob stuck in it.

These are mostly good bullets for your long range shooting requirements. Most look brand new. Some have very slight pull marks, and I mean slight, and some others have gouging. I set the worst ones aside with ambitions of cleaning them up, and most likely they’ll be candidates for .300blk loads. As far as are they still accurate? Oh yeah. I’m not a sniper, or seasoned long range shooter, but using these to recreate the M72 .30-06 loading with IMR 4895, I was holding 1.5″ groups at 300 yards off the bench with a stock Ruger M77 MKII topped off with a Nikon Buckmaster2 4-12X Scope. (My hunting rig) So I’d say they’ll absolutely shoot. I bought these because RMR had them on sale for 25% off, which is well below the factory new price of Sierra 175’s. Excellent buy, and RMR always ships super fast!

I had been using 175 gn Nosler bullets for shooting at 1000 yards in 308 and have had great success with them. I bought 1000 of these pulled SMK bullets based on the price and figured that worst case scenario I would end up using them for 300 BLK or 7.62 X 39. I put together some SMks and Noslers in 308 and shot them side by side and I found these pulled SMK bullets to group a little bit better than the new Noslers. It was a moderately windy day and I shot a 5 shot group with the SMK bullets measuring 6 inches at 1000 yards during a lull in the wind. I did not have a similar lull while shooting the Noslers so it is hard to say that the SMK bullets were better hands down but based on previous trips, I have obtained similar to slightly larger groups with the Noslers.
About 10% of these bullets have marks that might affect precision. I have set these aside and plan to run them though a sizing die. If they look good I’ll use then in 308 if not then I’ll plink with them in my blackout.
I got these on sale and have since bought another 1000. I found these to be a great value. If you don’t expect every bullet to be perfect and are willing to spend a small amount of time visually inspecting them then you’ll probably be happy.

Didn’t do any special sorting like weighing just sorted out a handfull of what looked like unmarked bullets. Loaded them in LC74 cases, Federal primers with 39 gns of IMR 4064 and shot a .216″ group at 100 yds through my old Savage 110FP. No complaints

Shot some of these in my Ruger Precision Rifle (308W) at 100 yds so far. Under 1/2″ 5 shot groups. At this yardage I did not get picky with how they looked. Far and away a very large percentage look just fine.

Fabulous!!!
These bullets are a steal. I bought 1000 and only found 12 that had gouges or media stick in them. I was shooting 8″ plates at 500 yards hitting consistently. Came home and ordered 2000 more.
