Description
#2 brass is meant for the more experienced reloader.
These primed cases have never been fired and come from demilled ammunition. They are essentially brand new but may have occasional minor dings or dents from the pulling process, including some mouth bulging that should size out when loaded. This is actually very typical for some pulled rifle brass and we consider the bulges to be minor. For most people the bulges size out when loaded. If there is any residual divot it should be very small and should not affect the performance nor the accuracy of the bullet. These cases have the normal pulled case spotting but, once loaded, they will shine up nicely in your vibratory tumbler. The primers are not crimped.
Like with all new brass, it is recommended that you resize the neck before loading to ensure that you have consistent neck tension. This is especially true with pulled brass as sometimes the case mouth can get dinged a little and it may be hard to seat a bullet without sizing. This can be accomplished easily by removing the decapping pin from your resizing die.
The #2 designation means that these cases will have more dents or dings than standard cases. It’s also possible you will get some with case mouths that are chipped or smashed and unusable. In most cases you can pop out the primers and use them if you can’t use the cases. It is always wise to inspect your cases before loading them.

I ordered 250 pieces of this 243 brass. I expected it all to be Win headstamp, but of the 268 pieces sent, only 88 are Win. The rest are Starline. This was a pleasant surprise to me. I much prefer Starline. The Starline cases are heavier than the Win and much more consistent in weight.

I am on my second order of 250 cases. 20 extra cases included and only one Starline in the group. What is amazing is that in my lot(s), there are no dents, scratches or even case mouth irregularities. It seems to function just fine in my AR-10 platform.

I’m very happy with the 250 .243 cases I received. I received all new (shiny inside and out), primed Winchester headstamp brass. I noticed only very minor dings in the case bodies, similar (but less prominent) to when I eject brass from a bolt gun. Will resize case necks before firing, but these look great.

Received 269 in my order. All but 21 are Winchester. The rest are USA (Herter’s). 231 are perfect, 10 have minor dents that will fireform out. Another 12 will be good for one loading. The remainder are good for primer salvage. I feel that I got my money’s worth. Looking forward to loading and shooting.
