Description

PRICE REDUCED!!!

These are really some mixed up bullets! We didn’t know what to call them; the most descriptive term we came up with is Grab Bag.  There may be 50 gr. frangible, 55 and 62 FMJs, soft points, poly tips, and hollow points, some Federal Fusion bonded bullets, and there may be some 69 and 77 grain Sierra Match King bullets. Every barrel seems to have a different mix. You may be surprised at what you find! We can’t guarantee what the mix is, so you get the benefit in savings!

These are, of course, pulled bullets, and the pull marks are mostly pretty minor, but you may find an occasional bullet that is mangled beyond use. As always, when dealing with pulled bullets there may always be some bullets of different styles, weight, and/or caliber.

Please, be sure that you are willing to sort bullets before purchasing!

NOTE: There MAY be a very occasional tracer bullet mixed in. We are doing all we can to pick them out, but we may not be able to get them all. They are illegal in some jurisdictions, so if you get any you are highly advised to throw them away!

It was hard to decide how many stars to give, I was tossed between 2 & 3. Read on and decide if these are for you. I ordered the 1000ct and they come in 4 250 ct. bags. I went for these because it’s a fairly cheap way to get some plinkers, but what really made me pull the trigger is that I wanted the 69 & 77 gr. bullets to start some testing without having to commit to buying expensive boxes of bullets I may not use. Unfortunately most of the 77s have really deep crimp marks and all of them have cuts through the copper so they’re pretty well useless. The cuts are pretty uniform and on both sides of each bullet just above where the case neck would end, pretty sure it was the puller that did it. Most, if not all, of the other bullets also have these cuts, they’re just not as bad as the 77 and 69 gr. and less obvious because of the cannelure. All of the cuts are within the bullets’ bearing surface so they may have some effect on accuracy .
I’ve only started sorting the first bag of 250 and here’s what I got:
    11- 77gr. BT HP
    1-69gr. BTHP
1- 61gr. tracer; bonus felony bullet and I see more in the other bags. (I’m in Ca. so each one is a separate felony for me, and probably the seller).
7-SS109, or at least they appear to be and are magnetic.
17-62gr. FMJ BT Decent looking quality.
About 35-55 gr. FMJ BT Decent looking quality.
And the remaining vast majority (231 by weight) are cheapo 55gr FMJ BT and FMJ FB. They have what I call a fake cannelure, the little stripes are there but it’s not a true canelure that’s indented. The toughest part will be sorting them. Some are obvious FB, some obvious BT, then lots that are kinda rounded a bit and I can’t tell if they’re supposed to be FB or BT. The ogives appear to be different on some which will add lots of fun at seating time. On the upside there’s about 268 in the ‘250ct’ bag.

Looking though the other bags reveals about the same stuff as this bag. Considering that bulk 55gr bullets can be had for about 8 cents ea., I don’t think the savings is worth the hassle of sorting this stuff. If the better bullets weren’t so damaged then maybe. Had this review been here I definitely would have passed and I’m considering returning them depending on their return policy.

Just finished sorting a thousand. No tracers, one steel jacket. A count of the rest:
50 gr frangible: 203; 50 gr FMJ: 38; 55 gr FMJ & soft point: ~600; 62 gr FMJ &soft point: 198; 69 gr Match King: 52. All were in very good shape with few marks from pulling.

Great, me and a friend ordered and was going to split. We got 1 bag of fmjbt 1000 count it said. They looked great. This was several months ago. I showed the guy at the local reloading shop….
